EduShine conducted search for Director - Admissions for India campus of leading UK university. The Institute offers premium courses in Business Management and Hospitality Management. The institution is now looking for transformation to become a dynamic globally benchmarked premier management & hospitality institution.
The Director – Admissions would be responsible for managing overall marketing and enrollments for the Business School.
The client institute is a premier B-school, initiative of a scholar from international institute and an engineer from best engineering institute of India, for more than a decade ago. The institute was established as a higher learning institution in India offering internationally recognized undergraduate and postgraduate programs of study in the professional areas of hospitality and business management. The institute’s campus is fully integrated with academic, recreational and residential facilities for students. The institute is funded by hospitality conglomerates and it has an internationally branded on-campus training hotel. Institute participates actively in research, and conducts consulting assignments. There is a constant exchange of ideas between corporate leaders, faculty and students that helps in holistic development of students.
The institute was looking for Head – Admissions, person should be able to reposition institute of traditionally managed education to futuristic interactive institute moving into its new campus, that stand amid top 20 B-schools of India, with scaling up students’ intake 3 fold in next 5 years. Institute was open to pay best in Indian Education sector compensation and even matching with the top 10 institutes of India. While meeting with the institute’s management team EduShine consultant suggested a person for the position should have dynamic personality, with experience of about 10 to 15 years in similar field with proven track record.
Based on the Inputs by the leadership of the client institution, EduShine identified 2 target segments – top hospitality institutions & premier BSchools. As the client institution is looking at charging premium fees for it’s programs, we identified 17 premier institutions from above mentioned segments.
We identified 14 candidates from these 17 institutions and after conducting through assessment process we shortlisted 5 candidates. After conducting preliminary background checks, EduShine presented 4 candidates to the selection panel consisting of eminent academicians and hospitality professionals.
Team EduShine conducted extensive research focused on the requisition of the institute and shortlisted 3 profiles for above role. After selection interviews conducted by management committee of the institute, they finalized a candidate with about 14 years of experience; 6 years in corporate and 5 years as head admissions with a management institute and 3 years as national head – admissions with a premier business school.
